Brain Cramp Displaying/getting Force vs displacement

Hi! Doing a quasistatic analysis in Calculix nonlinear static 3d. For some reason I'm not getting the external force value to show up as a sum in the table. Even when I create a sum based upon the displacement face (or restraint face) It's not showing up as an option when building the table. I see every node in that face for each time, not the sum. I could've sworn once upon a time I did force/displacement curve instead of force/time in the graph at the bottom of the UI. Thanks for you help!

  • Ok, first there is a braincramp. Since the time is linear steps and it goes to 1.8 inches, the steps contain the distance as well. Buuuuut, It would be great if I could get teh summed faces in the table for each time increment. Thanks!
  • Mike,

I don't presently see the way to sum face loads in Solution/Table either. The closest workaround I came up with was using Solution/Sum for the pre-defined face, then selecting "OK" -- which has the effect of creating the SUM in the menu tree. Clicking that will produce the external force graph, which also carries the step-wise data you might export to Excel or maybe Copy/Paste into Notebook.

  • Thanks for the insight, will give it a try!
