Hi Guys
Thinking about an old project and how I could have implemented it in Mecway.
A wash plant structure that has a vibrating screen, cyclone and a tank which is built into the structure also. Since the tank is built into the structure the fluid mass inside will play an important role in the natural frequency of the system depending on the water level.
Mecway doesn't have an option to set solid elements to a fluid. The only options I can think of are:
- Simplifying the system which I am not really going to get into and that is really boring
- Using OpenRadioss with SPH particles. We can't run a natural frequency analysis from OpenRadioss so the displacement time results can be used with signal processing to get natural frequency results
Would there be any other option using the Calculix solver? I see that Calculix has a "Fluid element" obviously not yet implemented in Mecway, however I am sure it can still be performed using Mecway as a basis to create most of the model.
Any other suggestions?
