  • 24) EDITED. Guess that this is a mix of the 16 and 24. If will be able to separate (hide/show) components on CCX results, would be good to keep the mesh color defined for the model, even for a deformed visualization (with no results, just the deform…
  • 17) Having the angle tolerance mode would help a lot. Also having the accumultive mode as an option would be great, people love options. Selecting can be a tedius work and all the tools that can help are welcome. 18) That's what I need, thanks! 23) …
  • Hi Victor, 17) Yes, that the idea. Having a consistent interface makes the user more productive. 18) The main problem that I see now is that Mecway merge all the nodes of the model, and sometimes if you have diferent component/materials this nodes …
  • 24) Hide/show components on the CCX results? For assemblies, as far as I know the ccx results doesnt have a way to identify the components, but what about allowing hide/show elements directly on the results? The components then could be remaped from…
  • Another more 23) Posibility of select nodes/faces of elements or elements related to part surface or edge
  • 22) Possibility of turn off the node dragging. Sometimes when I making node selections I finish moving it by mistake, is a lucky thing that the undo button works very well
  • Another more 18) Possibility of preview the nodes that will be merged, and then select which one will be merged. Maybe an opción to don't merge nodes from different materials or parts, now that is something that I cannot control
  • Another more :-) 21) Output console to centralize and keep (during the sesion) the output of the mesher and solver (all solvers) inside the Mecway window in a consistent way. Maybe nodes positions, areas, volumes, etc that are "asked" could be refl…

  • Hi Victor, see my comments bellow: 4) I have asociated the .frd files with Mecway and open from file explorer, then it stop my calculation on ccx (because ccx can't have access to write the .frd file) I will make more test on the matter 5) I use a t…
  • Another more 18) Possibility of preview the nodes that will be merged, and then select which one will be merged or not. Guess that the order should be selecting before the bunch of nodes, and then show what nodes are bellow the target distance (only…

  • Could be that Windows has asociated the file extension with the 32 bits executable of Mecway?
  • Surely sólo improve, writing the matrix to disk take time. Regards!
  • By the way, why the beam is deformed prior to loading???
  • What a big improvement on the new processors! I'm working with no lineal simulations (big deformation, contacts and hyperelastic materials) including several load steps... half hour on my core i5 with 4 cores!!!!
  • Yes, that run-time would be great, also keeping a file with that log. For big problems and long runs sometimes I would set to 7 in order to have one for doing something else with the computer.
  • VMH, to set this variable you need to go to My PC, then Advanced Configuration, and then Environment Variables (sorry, my Windows is in Spanish so I'm not sure if they are the exactly words in English). See the picture attached
  • Hi, nice portable workstation, I use to have DELL Precision machines and they have very good hardware. By the way, you can set the environment variable OMP_NUM_THREADS=4 or whatever to increase the number of processors available to CCX. Regards.
  • Hi, I'm in a similar doubt, I'm using as postprocesador of CCX and everytime I do the same steps to postprocess: 1) Selecting variable to postprocess in the tree 2) Selecting fit window 3) Selecting deformed model escale 1 4) Adjusting min scale of…
  • Victor, you are right, tomorrow will try that option. Regards
  • Thanks, I will investigate the formulas for selecting. Any advice to create a formula that include the nodes within an angle of by example 10 degrees? Regards
  • Hi, what about setting up a rigid body between the outside nodes of the shaft and two dummies nodes as pilots in the rotation center, then apply a rotation (angle, not moment) on the pilot nodes. Solve with CCX and Then you could do a plot of the r…

  • In Netgen there is a tool called IGS/STEP Doctor with a tolerance value that maybe could fixe this issue. Could be this feature included in further releases of Mecway?
  • Thanks, otherwise getting the nodal summatory is hard even with Excell. I has to take note of every node in the fixed side and then filter by hand for every iteration of the solution step in order to get the load/deflection curve.
  • file from last comment
  • And what about define a named selection of nodes and then in the table results filter by this selection of nodes using CCX? I can do it using Mecway solver but when I switch to CCX I loose that (usefull) possibility. Regards By the way, I have sol…
  • Great, I will explore the two options. Adding a new step open a brad band of different simulations, by example thermal restrain, swage operations and so on before main loading. Is possible to copy the whole "simulation" in the same file and then ha…
  • About the custom editions text inputs for CCX, can you add a big remembering of the units on the edition windows :-) ???? You say that must be m,kg,s, what about load and pressure? N and Pa?? Regards
  • Hi VMH, I just run a simple test with geometric nolineal and solved with CCX, by default it doesn't show the strains, but if you add a Custome Step Contents to ask for them, it work ok: *EL FILE S, E Now I will try with a geometric and material pl…
